birthday part 2

Today was another wonderful day! It started out with breakfast with Jess which is always fun to catch up and encourage each other. Work was great....got to spend lunch with my hubby and then we went to dinner with Mom and Dad Andrews which was awesome. I feel so blessed and so content with where God has us right now. I'm worn out from all the celebrating, time for bed!
Lots of love...

Birthday love

For some reason it always feels like it's my birthday...it came again today and I enjoyed every minute. This morning I went to breakfast with grandma and grandpa styll, mom and aunt Jamie. Such fun! We went to Rockwells, I hadn't been there since the morning of our rehearsal dinner...made me really miss the rest of my family. I miss all of my Tennesseans! This afternoon mom and I spent the day shopping and we met up with Chris for lunch at Panera. mmm! Tonight mom and dad took us out to one of our family favorites....Mr. Stox. It is always a good time there with amazing food. Chris and I are truly blessed with an incredible family and group of friends. It's been a wonderful day...Love you dear family and friends....thank you for all your calls, cards and texts.
Much love

fun

Chris and I have had a great weekend. Last night we went to dinner with the Groggers to my favorite, Shiki! Good times with great friends. Today I was at a baby shower for a great family friend who just adopted a sweet baby girl and Chris went golfing with Jack and Luke Grogger. Tonight Megan is at the winter formal, her first dance! I don't know how she is old enough to go to those things...I feel like that was just me. It's amazing how time flies....We tagged along and took pictures of the group. Love my kindred kids.

PS. I just called Pops and he is really down. He wants to go home and now has a staff infection in his leg..they have been giving him too much pain medicine so hes been a little out of it. Please pray for him....:)

Rain...Rain...

We love the rain. It is so wonderful...there is nothing like laying in bed all snugly and hearing the rain pitter patter outside. Love it!! So a little update.....Pops is going in for his surgery tomorrow (Thursday). I called him this morning thinking it was today but they moved it back to tomorrow so they could monitor him today to make sure he is strong enough. Please continue to keep him in your prayers....he really appreciates them.
Chris and I went to the Flame Bible study tonight at church. It is so awesome and such a great thing for us. It is led by our good friend Jack Grogger who I worked with for the past couple years...he was the high school pastor and recently stepped down. He is also a fire chief in San Diego and the Anaheim Angels Chaplin. Anyway, he is an amazing teacher and we love going to the mid-week service he does. If you're looking for a place to get plugged in-tag along with us on Wednesday nights!

Recipe of the month!

Ok, so I am addicted to Food Network and are Paula Dean's biggest fan. If you don't know who she is, you need to turn on FN and watch Paula's Home Cookin! She is a southern girl who I adore. Anyway, I was watching her show last night and she made a bunch of "mini meals"...one of them was a mini pizza. I decided to copy her and make my own for our dinner tonight!
Here it is....

Mini Pizzas

Step 1: Go to Trader Joes

Step 2: Buy pizza dough (I bought whole wheat dough for 0.99), pizza sauce, cheese, pepperoni and any other topping you desire.

Step 3: Roll out dough into "mini sizes"

Step 4: Add all your toppings

Step 5: Pop in the oven for 15-20 min at 375

If you want to have a quick snack you can make ultra mini pizzas in the toaster over. Do the same as above just make them smaller and put them on the toaster over pan...

Hope you enjoy them as much as we did!!

Thanks Paula!

Good ol Tuesdays!!!

Tuesdays are my new favorite days. Chris and I always seem to have awesome Tuesday nights! Tonight we went to South Coast to get his new suit fitted....we were successful! We then ended up at a fine jewelry store and Chris bought me a beautiful little somethin for my birthday!!! So excited! We got my ring cleaned and then they gave me a big bottle of this amazing perfume. Pretty sweet! We are still thoroughly enjoying our wedding gifts and tonight we went to dinner on the Levine's from a gift card they gave us. We're now home watching American Idol, this is the best part of the show when they show all the crazies. We lay there and laugh so hard at these people...good cheap entertainment!
I'm so sad about Heath Ledger.....28 is too young to die. I pray he knows the Lord!
That's it from us...time to get back to show!
XOXO

home

Chris and I got back from Arrowhead yesterday afternoon. It was such a nice weekend! We are so thankful for the families God has blessed us with. Our goal this year is to do one weekend get away a month. We'll see how well we do with that one :)
Tonight we're going to dinner with Jen and Drew Bryson....it's always great to re-connect with great friends! That's pretty much it. Much love!

good times..

We have had the best weekend up in Arrowhead with my family. Chris, Riley and I arrived at the house around 8pm last night and pretty much crashed into bed. Riley was the best little passenger....not a peep! Well once but that's when we went through KFC and got us some fried chicken.
We slept in until 8am which is amazing for us! Chris and I headed off to the Arrowhead village in search of a barber because he was long over due for a hair cut. There are apparently no barbers up here but we managed to find a salon. Ha! I thought Chris was going to die when we walked in and asked to get his hair cut....$30 later he looks amazing! (He's used to paying $7) Mom and dad met us up at the Village and spent a couple hours shopping....we all left with some great buys! We also went to the best bakery in town! I am obsessed with the cinnamon rolls...as you can see Chris and I were fighting over who got the frosting!! We went back to our cabin and the boys smoked cigars (they tried last nig…

Amazing

Last night Chris and I had the best night! I don't know if we were like two teenagers in love or more like old people but heres what went down...he asked if I would like to go out to dinner so I thought all day about where to go and the only place that I couldn't get out of my head was none other than the all American I-HOP! We hopped in the car and found the closest Ihop which by the way is 3 miles from us....we sat down with grandma and grandpas surrounding our table and ordered us the never ending pancake special. It was so perfect! I ate 4 pancakes, 2 eggs, hashbrowns and bacon....totally beat Chris. Our dinner only cost us $12.61, pretty awesome! We headed home and decided that we wanted to play tennis. It had to be the most entertaining game of tennis ever. We lost almost all of our balls and by the time we did lose all of them I thought I was going to fall over. We gathered all of them-finally and headed back home. (We are now huge fans of tennis and will be playing eve…

Pops

As many of you know my dads dad has been very ill for the past 2 months. He was in the hospital for a month and a half and is now in a rehab facility recovering and trying to regain his strength. I talked to him today and he has to go back to the hospital next Wednesday for another surgery where they amputated his leg. Please continue to lift Pops up in prayer along with Grandma for strength and healing. God is soo good and has been so gracious to our family with healing Pops and bringing him this far. It is a miracle and for those people who don't have a relationship with Christ and don't believe in Him need to do some serious evaluating in their life. He is coming back soon and we are so ready!

Thank you Lord for all you have done and are doing!

Here goes nothin....

Hi loved ones.....
Here we are in the 3rd week of the new year and 3.5 months into our marriage. It is so amazing as I sit here and think about where we were this time last year. God did some incredible things in 2007...we got engaged on January 24th....bought our home in March....fixed the whole thing up...planned our wedding....married....honeymooned....and got our first pet! It was an amazing year. We feel so blessed to have such an amazing family and group of friends who surround us.
We are so excited to see what 2008 has in store....We are off to a good start! Chris started a new job yesterday. He is still with Enterprise just a different division of the company. He is now an "Account Executive" for the Rideshare department. We are excited to see how God is going to use him there and all that He has planned. He is a little overwhelmed and completely exhausted right now, so keep my sweet husband in your prayers. :)
My job has also changed a little, for the past two years I…
