Where is your treasure?

Church was really good this morning. We had a guest speaker and he talked on the topic of being rich. It was interesting. I am sure Chris and I will ever be able to consider ourselves rich in the eyes of the world. However, we are extremely blessed when you look at the rest of the world. We have a nice roof over our heads, food on the table for every meal, cars to get us from one place to the next and so on.. It was a great reminder that the things that bring us pleasure here are so temporary, we aren't taking them with us. Like the pastor said, you never see a Hearst pulling a u-haul! It was an encouragement for Chris and I knowing that we have all we need in Christ. Our hope is in Him and He provides all we need. We don't need a big fancy house or new fancy cars to make us happy or to prove one thing or another. “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." - Matthew 6:19
It has been quite a humbling month, thank you Jesus!
