Thirsty

I admit I have been a terrible blogger lately. We have been busy but I also feel like I sometimes blog about nothings and I don't want to write just to..write. Things are going well in the Andrews household. We've been working hard, spending lots of time with family and been getting out and going biking and hiking. One thing that is going on in our life that I am so stoked about is Bible study. I have been in a Monday morning Bible study with a group of about 10 women, it is incredible. Words can't even describe how wonderful it is to be in this study. I have learned so much about Christ and the Holy Spirit and grown so much in my Faith the past couple months. Chris and I have been so hungry for the Word and to dig in and learn more about our Creator. Finally! Tonight is started! I am doing the Bible study again with some new women and some from the old study. (the original Monday morning group is still meeting- we're onto a new book!) and Chris and my dad are doing one with the men. There are about 20 women and 20 guys, we meet the same time just different houses. Our Bible study is called "Living Water" by Chuck Smith. I encourage you to pick up a copy and do the study. It will rock your world!!!! I'm so not one to read- I hate reading, hate school....but this is awesome. I can't wait to finally be able to study this along with my husband. I can't wait to see how God is going to work in his life and the things he is going to learn. He's having to give up volleyball for 2 months but the things he is going to learn and the relationships he is going to build will be priceless. Hope all of you are doing well.
Much love.

Homemade Pop Tarts

To be honest, I’m not a fan of the boxed pop tarts but homemade ones make me weak in the knees. Our local coffee shops here in Tennessee sell them and they’re my guilty pleasure.  I decided to take a quiet Tuesday morning and make some with my sweet boy.
Here’s what I did..

The best iced coffee, ever.

When Chris and I went to Mexico this past winter we quickly become addicted to their  blended espressos. I found myself craving them when we got home so I played around with a couple of instant espressos and ended up making the best iced coffee, ever.

What you’ll need.  Medaglia D’oro instant espresso Water IceCoffee creamer of your choiceHeavy cream + caramel Trust me on the instant espresso. I tried them all. This is the best. I get it at Kroger. I’ve also heard Walmart carries it as well as trusty amazon.
Step one.  Get your ingredients out.

I fill my glass up halfway with water and pour a capful of instant espresso in.

Mix it real good.

Time to cool it down.

Now comes the sweet part.

This next step is money.  Lordy.

If you’re feeling really naughty you can add caramel sauce.  Do it.

If you’ve been wanting the recipe for the BEST homemade caramel ever then you’re in luck.  This is the recipe from my mother in law.  It is life changing.

A healthier me.

Remember my Trust your gut  post?I feel like a whole new girl since I wrote that a month ago.  So many things have been confirmed and I feel like my happy healthy self again.
All because of two things; 1. The gallbladder cleanse that I posted about.  Literally saved my gallbladder and my sanity.  No more stomach pain! And I can drink wine and margaritas without pain again! 🙌🏼
2. I found out that I have a sensitivity to gluten. It's still a mystery to me as to how I developed this but all I know is that when I do have gluten my joints hurt, I get awful headaches and an upset stomach along with bloating.
Back to my first post about this... I took a "before picture" thinking I was going to 5-10 pounds and then post my "after" picture. 😂😂😂
Truth is, there are still plenty of calories in gluten free food. The other truth is I'm 80-20 gluten free. I still enjoy a few non-gluten free treats here and there (and then pay for it later).
I love food. I reward myself wit…
