thankful

There have been so many answered prayers and amazing things happening that my heart is bursting with joy. I am so thankful for all of the blessings that have been flowing down from my Maker above. Blessings not just for us but seeing how the Lord is blessing others.
This morning as I was scrubbing the wood floors, cleaning the bathrooms and doing everything else to get this house in shape while the baby napped I couldn't help but literally say out loud, "WOW! Thank you Lord!" It was like He stopped me right then and there in my tracks. I spent the rest of my cleaning time just thanking God for so many blessings. The big and the small.

  •  I am so thankful for my husband who works extremely hard for his girls and does everything he can to ensure we have a nice life.  It is a priority for him that I stay home and raise our kids.
  •  I am thankful for a husband who knows the true value of family.
  •  I am forever grateful for our precious blessing, Kate. Words cannot describe how she has filled our life with this unending joy. That girl is amazing.
  •  I am thankful for my parents who have the biggest hearts.
  •  I'm thankful for our home, I'm so content here and after 3 years still amazed that we are actually homeowners in the heart of Southern California.
  •  I'm thankful that we don't have to worry about where our next meal is going to come from.
  •  I'm thankful for true and honest friends.
  •  I'm thankful that I have fat on my body, a constant reminder that I'm not starving.
  •  I'm thankful for my church family.
  •  I'm thankful that God trusted me to raise one of His children.
  •  I'm thankful for dessert.
  •  I'm thankful for answered prayers.
  •  I'm thankful for the Hope we have in Jesus.
  •  I'm thankful that God's plan are far better than mine.
  •  I'm thankful that I'm not in control.
  •  I'm thankful for Grace..

Goodness, I could go on and on. These are just a few of the things I've been thinking about today. I will admit that the one that started this whole thing was "thankful that God's plan are far better than mine.." I was sort of day dreaming about things that could be and that came to my mind. It's like the Lord was saying "wooah, hey there girl. Calm down and don't worry.. I will show you great and mighty things...things far better than you can imagine." I will continue to hope and keep my trust in Him. Even if His plan is slightly different or a total 360 than what I had in mind, it will be better.

More likely than not...I'm thankful for you :)
Have a blessed day y'all.
Count your blessing..
each
and
every
one
of
them.

Celebrating 10 years..

Chris and I celebrated our 10 year wedding anniversary on October 6th! We celebrated today by spending the entire afternoon and evening together, kid free.  I found a killer deal for couples massages on Groupon and learned that if a deal looks too good to be true, it is.  Things we've learned after 10 years of marriage; don't take yourself too seriously, laughter is the secret to a good time and chocolate makes everything ok.

Trust your gut

If you've followed me on Instagram for a while you've seen that I've been struggling with pain, nausea and some other lovely side effects every single time I put something in my mouth. 😭I've been in the ER, to a specialist and was about to go in for a hidascan before I canceled it 20 hours before I was to go in.  I was uneasy about the scan in the first place. I knew it was going to show issues with my gallbladder. I had every symptom. I also knew that the next step after the scan was surgery to remove my gallbladder. I know it's an organ that isn't quite necessary but being a mom with 4 small babes, surgery wasnt the best option.  I mean it would be nice to have an excuse to lay around for a bit but let's be real, that wouldn't even happen. 🤦🏼‍♀️ #momlife I felt this super strong thing come over me the morning before to scan telling me to cancel it and change my lifestyle a bit.  I love food y'all. That's no surprise. I have 17 pounds to lose to…

TwistShake Baby

Our sweet Sophie Mae is just starting to take a bottle like a pro. You know where I can finally run some errands kid free and not stress about her starving because she only likes the boob.  I've been giving her a bottle 3x a day, the main one being at bedtime to ensure she gets a belly full because sleep is a good thing!  We are in a good transition and I plan to stop nursing when she's around 9 months old.  I've collaborated with TwistShake Baby! They are a company out of Sweden and they make the most awesome Baby bottles.
