Organizing 101

Glad to know that I'm not the only one who has the desire to become more organized and chuck things that we haven't used in the past year. I will be walking you through our home as it becomes more organized through the year. I'll start with something simple that has made a big difference for us. Last year I went to Home Goods and bought out all their bigger baskets and a couple small ones too. Here is what I did with them:

Our drawers in the kitchen are so much better now that things are in their place. I can open the drawer without things flying out at me and know exactly where everything is.
I found these metal dividers at BB&B

 Under the kitchen sink.
AKA Disaster zone!
Everything seems to end up under the sink.
Our basket holds 90% of our cleaning supplies.
No more spilled Windex for us!

 The Guest Bath
AKA my soap shop
Everything is under the sink from Chris' hair gel, shave gel, bubble baths, soaps, band aids...
The basket holds all of the bathroom cleaning supplies

One section in the hall closet holds our guest towels..
All of the washcloths are in a cute little basket.
ps. can you tell that 50% of our towels are in the wash right now?

Master Bathroom
AKA, seriously two people have to share this?!
I have one side of the vanity and Chris has the other.
OK, maybe he just has one drawer on the other side but isn't a master bathroom really for the chick anyway?
My make up drawer was always a war zone.
 It was until this..

Yes, I have a small obsession with MAC

Under the sink..more baskets to hold the mess!
I try to go through all the baskets a couple times a year to clean things out, re-organize and there's always the "oh yeah, totally forgot we had that!"  So, I'm glad y'all have gotten up close and personal with our not so pretty places in the house.
These pictures look messy but I promise you they have been such a huge help to us.
Happy Organizing!

And um, as far as the closets go...my husband wants to move the closet door in the master bedroom over a few inches to expand our space. Not sure about this so I'll get back to you on that once I get over my freak out of more construction.

Homemade Pop Tarts

To be honest, I’m not a fan of the boxed pop tarts but homemade ones make me weak in the knees. Our local coffee shops here in Tennessee sell them and they’re my guilty pleasure.  I decided to take a quiet Tuesday morning and make some with my sweet boy.
Here’s what I did..

A healthier me.

Remember my Trust your gut  post?I feel like a whole new girl since I wrote that a month ago.  So many things have been confirmed and I feel like my happy healthy self again.
All because of two things; 1. The gallbladder cleanse that I posted about.  Literally saved my gallbladder and my sanity.  No more stomach pain! And I can drink wine and margaritas without pain again! 🙌🏼
2. I found out that I have a sensitivity to gluten. It's still a mystery to me as to how I developed this but all I know is that when I do have gluten my joints hurt, I get awful headaches and an upset stomach along with bloating.
Back to my first post about this... I took a "before picture" thinking I was going to 5-10 pounds and then post my "after" picture. 😂😂😂
Truth is, there are still plenty of calories in gluten free food. The other truth is I'm 80-20 gluten free. I still enjoy a few non-gluten free treats here and there (and then pay for it later).
I love food. I reward myself wit…

Trust your gut

If you've followed me on Instagram for a while you've seen that I've been struggling with pain, nausea and some other lovely side effects every single time I put something in my mouth. 😭I've been in the ER, to a specialist and was about to go in for a hidascan before I canceled it 20 hours before I was to go in.  I was uneasy about the scan in the first place. I knew it was going to show issues with my gallbladder. I had every symptom. I also knew that the next step after the scan was surgery to remove my gallbladder. I know it's an organ that isn't quite necessary but being a mom with 4 small babes, surgery wasnt the best option.  I mean it would be nice to have an excuse to lay around for a bit but let's be real, that wouldn't even happen. 🤦🏼‍♀️ #momlife I felt this super strong thing come over me the morning before to scan telling me to cancel it and change my lifestyle a bit.  I love food y'all. That's no surprise. I have 17 pounds to lose to…
