It's a....

BOY!!

Can y'all believe it?! I was in shock for a day or so thinking, oh my gosh what do I do with a boy?! This is a whole new world for me! I quickly began to see what a wonderful world it's going to be after seeing pictures of our little guy and knowing that the Lord is making Him for us. The first thing I did when I found out was head straight to the mall. I have major shopping to do y'all! There is not a lick of baby blue in this house but that has all changed in the past 4 days. I've been going crazy shopping for him and planning his nursery and such. It has been killing me to not share any of this with anyone.

My husbands 30th birthday party/gender reveal party was last night and I was counting down the minutes!

We had our family over for dessert and this is how it went down...

 The Cake.
I clearly won't be opening a bakery anytime soon!

 ready for the party!

The gang right before we cut the cake

Birthday boy!

 Blue means BOY!

OH MY!!!  Their faces are priceless!

 So exciting!

Proud sissy

 BLUE!

I can't wait to see her with the little man!
As you can probably tell, our family was just as surprised and excited as we are! This will be the first boy in my family in a VERY long time. There is no denying that this one is a boy! Needless to say, I will not be posting the "boy" picture on the internet!

Our little man does have a name and we are thrilled to announce it!
William Allan Andrews.
We'll most likely just call him Will. Kate calls him "wheel". I have loved the name will for years and Allan is a family name on my husbands side. I am sure we will never hear the end of "Will and Kate" but I can assure you that is not how we picked his name.
We love the meaning behind his name...
William (Protector) Allan (Handsome) Andrews (Manly)

5 more months and he will be in our arms. Hard to believe we are on our way to a family of 4. I can't even describe the joy and excitement that my heart is filled with. An amazing husband, a precious daughter and now a son on the way! I never imagined this would be my life. I love it and am so thankful.

Can hardly wait to meet you sweet Will and welcome you into this world!

Homemade Pop Tarts

To be honest, I’m not a fan of the boxed pop tarts but homemade ones make me weak in the knees. Our local coffee shops here in Tennessee sell them and they’re my guilty pleasure.  I decided to take a quiet Tuesday morning and make some with my sweet boy.
Here’s what I did..
HOMEMADE POP TARTSYIELD:9 servings PREP:1 hour COOK:25 minutes TOTAL:1 hour 25 minutes These are simple and SO delicious! A healthier me.

Remember my Trust your gut  post?I feel like a whole new girl since I wrote that a month ago.  So many things have been confirmed and I feel like my happy healthy self again.
All because of two things; 1. The gallbladder cleanse that I posted about.  Literally saved my gallbladder and my sanity.  No more stomach pain! And I can drink wine and margaritas without pain again! 🙌🏼
2. I found out that I have a sensitivity to gluten. It's still a mystery to me as to how I developed this but all I know is that when I do have gluten my joints hurt, I get awful headaches and an upset stomach along with bloating.
Back to my first post about this... I took a "before picture" thinking I was going to 5-10 pounds and then post my "after" picture. 😂😂😂
Truth is, there are still plenty of calories in gluten free food. The other truth is I'm 80-20 gluten free. I still enjoy a few non-gluten free treats here and there (and then pay for it later).
I love food. I reward myself wit…

The best iced coffee, ever.

When Chris and I went to Mexico this past winter we quickly become addicted to their  blended espressos. I found myself craving them when we got home so I played around with a couple of instant espressos and ended up making the best iced coffee, ever.

What you’ll need.  Medaglia D’oro instant espresso Water IceCoffee creamer of your choiceHeavy cream + caramel Trust me on the instant espresso. I tried them all. This is the best. I get it at Kroger. I’ve also heard Walmart carries it as well as trusty amazon.
Step one.  Get your ingredients out.

I fill my glass up halfway with water and pour a capful of instant espresso in.

Mix it real good.

Time to cool it down.

Now comes the sweet part.

This next step is money.  Lordy.

If you’re feeling really naughty you can add caramel sauce.  Do it.

If you’ve been wanting the recipe for the BEST homemade caramel ever then you’re in luck.  This is the recipe from my mother in law.  It is life changing.
