Belly Pic Friday!

Our sweet boy is tucked back and sitting on my sciatic nerve which gives me a belly that is measuring around 19-20 weeks at almost 23! I can tell he is going through a growth spurt right now as I want to eat the house down and my tummy itches since it's finally starting to grow. It blows my mind how different my pregnancies have been when it comes to how I carried/carry them. As long as he grows big and strong, I don't care how big I get! Happy Friday!

My Long To-Do List

If you haven't noticed yet, I'm an organizational and clean freak.
That on top of the pregnancy nesting is crazy.

I have had a long to-do list going and here's where we're at. My goal is to have everything crossed off by mid-January. A lot of the deep cleaning things won't be checked off until after Christmas so I don't to twice the work!

22 weeks..

Here we are! Just a couple more weeks left in the 2nd trimester...

Weeks: 22

Cravings: No crazy cravings these past couple of weeks believe it or not. I feel somewhat normal. I am loving ice cream and pizza but nothing crazy or obnoxious!

Food Aversions: Same ol same ol. No chicken breasts or steaks..

Heartbeat: 161 at my appointment yesterday

Gender: precious baby BOY!

Extras: I had a great doctors appointment yesterday. Got the results from my ultrasound and Will looks wonderful! So incredibly thankful for that news. My belly is still on the tiny side but that's not new news. My due date is now anywhere from Jan 28th-Feb 2nd so he is still shooting for the 31st of January. I am up a total of 10 pounds. I'm doing better that I did with Kate at this point, praying I can keep it below 30! With Thanksgiving and Christmas in my future, that's not looking too promising! In exciting news...Chris and I just booked our Babymoon. It's like a honeymoon, except I'm pregnant! We&#…

The girls are turning 2...

I know that I'm repeating myself but I can't get over that these girls are turning TWO!

We celebrated Kate's best friends birthday on Saturday & had so much fun at her party!
How adorable is the birthday girl!?
my girl and bubbles..
a good look for us, don't you think?
 Kids table!
 Silly
They revealed that Ava is going to have a baby SISTER in March! We are so excited to meet sweet Lily!
One party down. One to go. I need to get busy!

My little tiny melon!

We're halfway there

This pregnancy is f-l-y-i-n-g!
Just passed 20 weeks with our little guy and enjoying each day!
I seem to be low on energy these days between our busy girl, my auto immune disease and growing our little guy but I wouldn't trade anything for this. We had our big 20 weeks ultrasound this morning; here's where we're at:

Weeks: 20

Cravings: ha. I could write a novel! I am still loving pickles, very particular on them though. Pizza sounds good every single day, fresh fruit, chocolate malted ice cream and chocolate satin pie from Marie Calendars. Not sure where the pie craving from but my momma surprised me yesterday with a whole pie. Talk about paradise! I promise I'm eating healthy food too. My new favorite thing to have for breakfast and lunch is raisin bran cereal, I splurge on dinner :)

Food Aversions: I haven't had chicken breast yet or a steak but the thought of it doesn't make me want to gag anymore so hopefully that one will be behind me soon.

Heartbeat: between …

"True friendship isn't about being there when it's convenient;
it's about being there when it's not."

I cherish each one of my friendships. They're all unique and precious in their own way. Some of them are more open than others, some of them are filled with laughter while the other half are more serious. They're all different and that's what I love. There are some who I have known since before I can remember and some who I just met. My favorite ones are where we call just to chat or how we can pick up right where we left off...almost like no time has passed at all.

Moral of this story: I am so grateful for the true friends who are in my life. The ones who truly care and act like real friends should.

These past couple of years have been a real eye opening experience for me. Those who I thought would be there and part of my life, haven't been. And those who I would have never imagined would be in my life, are. I've learned that the…

Since fall is coming and all

We went to dinner at a friends house a couple weeks ago and she made the best soup I've ever had. I'm not much of a soup person but I fell head over heals in love with this one.

Baked Potato Cheese Soup.
12 slices bacon 2/3 cup butter 2/3 cup all-purpose flour 7 cups milk 4 large baked potatoes, peeled and cubed 4 green onions, chopped 1 1/4 cups shredded Cheddar cheese 1 cup sour cream 1 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon ground black pepper Directions
Melt butter in large pan, whisk in flour until smooth. Gradually stir in milk, whisking constantly until thickened. Stir in potatoes. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. If you'd like to add in all the "baked potato" ingredients then this is where they come in. I made our soup just cheese and potato and kept all of the &qu…

A "lite" treat

I am trying to behave myself when it comes to sweets and desserts. It's really hard to contain myself these days with being 5 months pregnant and all. However, I made a little dessert that I didn't feel too guilty eating and it was pretty awesome.

Lite. Simple. Pretty. and oh. so. delicious!

Angel food cakeraspberries (or strawberries)Nutella (or Hazelnut Vanilla spread in my case)Whip Cream (or cool whip)  Slice two pieces of angel foodwarm up your chocolate spreaddrizzle over angel food, add berries and decorate with whipped cream You won't be disappointed!

A little family tradition

We have lots of fun traditions in our family. The one we're working on right now is pretty awesome.

A playhouse.

Not just any playhouse like the little plastic one in our backyard. No, this is a full on mini house!
My grandpa built a playhouse for his kids, my dad and grandpa built a playhouse for my sister and I and now my dad and my husband are building a playhouse for Kate and Will and the other future grand kids.

Construction started two weeks ago and it is well on it's way. Chris found a design online and has tweaked it to make it a bit more custom. It is going to be nothing short of fabulous.

Check out what the boys have been up to...
Just a little weekend project :)

Day 1.
Day 2.

 Day 3.
Kate and her boys
Day 4. hard at work..
Day 5.
Kate already adores her "big house" as she so lovingly calls it. She was happy with how it looked on day 1. There is still so much to be done and the boys are trying to get it all done in the next month.
The roof and trim are set to go…

Belly pictures...

Time to get up close and personal again.
AKA watch my summer tan fade away...

I always feel like a total dork taking my weekly pictures but it's so fun looking back to see how we're growing! Enough of me, scroll down and see what's going on with our little dude!

18 weeks and growing..

Y'all I'm almost halfway there. Almost halfway to the day that we get to meet our little guy for the first time! I had an ultrasound yesterday and my 18 week check up this morning. It was so fun seeing Will on the big screen again. He's getting bigger which is a good thing because so am I! Yes, I have finally hit that point where I LOVE food again.

Let's get to the good stuff..

Weeks: 18

Cravings: I'm loving pickles these days. I've had an intense craving for doughnuts which was finally satisfied last night with a trip to Krispy Kreme. Chris put Kate down to bed and the momma and I drove all the way to the Block and I made her go inside so we could smell the fresh baked doughy goods. Another thing I'm loving but trying to avoid since it's not the healthiest are pepperoni sticks (you know the ones that are always at the checkout line at the market!)

Food aversions: Chicken breasts and steak are still gross.

Heartbeat: 158

Gender: He's still a BOY! :)
