My girl and her HAPPY DAY!

Our girl is two.
:::::insert tears:::::

Are all the years going to fly by like this? If so, I'd like to kindly ask God to press pause so I can soak up this time a little more. I need to soak up these baby cheeks, the sweet kisses and little words that no one understands except me. I'd gladly fast forward through all the crazy temper tantrums but for the most part, I'd like to freeze and keep life that way it is now. Our little blond haired blue eyed baby doll is blossoming before our eyes with a personality that has us rolling of the floor with laughter (..most days!)

The birthday girl was greeted in the morning by momma singing "happy birthday" to her. So glad no one else was around to hear me sing to her at 6:30am! We got dressed and met Mimi and Papa for breakfast for "chip chip panpates" as Kate requested.

We went to Mimi and Papas house after where Kate found her big birthday present..
Her first car! Watch out world!

After that excitement I took my girl on a date to the nail salon to get her first mani/pedi.
Such fun!
Rach and Ava met us there for Ava's first nail salon experience too!

The girls left with pink fingers and toes topped off with little flowers..

Saturday was party day! Or as Kate refers to it as her "happy day!" We had a mellow and intimate backyard lunch with our family and close friends. It was a perfect fall day to celebrate our precious girl!

it was way past nap time...

We have been so blessed by family and friends who love and adore our girl. I can't tell you how fun it is celebrating this little one. She is such a joy. She enjoyed every bite of cake and loved every present that she opened.

I know the years are going to continue to fly by and one day I'm going to have to stop crying the night before her birthday. People keep telling me that it only gets better, and I believe them. It is amazing watching her grow into a little girl. It is not easy being a parent but watching her learn and grow in the way that we are teaching her is the most rewarding thing ever! Two years down and Lord willing, the rest of my life to go.

You will probably never know the depth of our love for you, Kate. I pray that one day you too get to experience this kind of love so you can get a glimpse of the love dada and I have for you.

You are an amazing girl & I praise Jesus for sending you to us to take care of & raise.
It is a gift that nothing will ever compare to.

Happy 2nd birthday precious girl.
You are SO loved!

A healthier me.

Remember my Trust your gut  post?I feel like a whole new girl since I wrote that a month ago.  So many things have been confirmed and I feel like my happy healthy self again.
All because of two things; 1. The gallbladder cleanse that I posted about.  Literally saved my gallbladder and my sanity.  No more stomach pain! And I can drink wine and margaritas without pain again! 🙌🏼
2. I found out that I have a sensitivity to gluten. It's still a mystery to me as to how I developed this but all I know is that when I do have gluten my joints hurt, I get awful headaches and an upset stomach along with bloating.
Back to my first post about this... I took a "before picture" thinking I was going to 5-10 pounds and then post my "after" picture. 😂😂😂
Truth is, there are still plenty of calories in gluten free food. The other truth is I'm 80-20 gluten free. I still enjoy a few non-gluten free treats here and there (and then pay for it later).
I love food. I reward myself wit…

Homemade Pop Tarts

To be honest, I’m not a fan of the boxed pop tarts but homemade ones make me weak in the knees. Our local coffee shops here in Tennessee sell them and they’re my guilty pleasure.  I decided to take a quiet Tuesday morning and make some with my sweet boy.
Here’s what I did..

Trust your gut

If you've followed me on Instagram for a while you've seen that I've been struggling with pain, nausea and some other lovely side effects every single time I put something in my mouth. 😭I've been in the ER, to a specialist and was about to go in for a hidascan before I canceled it 20 hours before I was to go in.  I was uneasy about the scan in the first place. I knew it was going to show issues with my gallbladder. I had every symptom. I also knew that the next step after the scan was surgery to remove my gallbladder. I know it's an organ that isn't quite necessary but being a mom with 4 small babes, surgery wasnt the best option.  I mean it would be nice to have an excuse to lay around for a bit but let's be real, that wouldn't even happen. 🤦🏼‍♀️ #momlife I felt this super strong thing come over me the morning before to scan telling me to cancel it and change my lifestyle a bit.  I love food y'all. That's no surprise. I have 17 pounds to lose to…
