Here goes nothin....

Hi loved ones.....
Here we are in the 3rd week of the new year and 3.5 months into our marriage. It is so amazing as I sit here and think about where we were this time last year. God did some incredible things in 2007...we got engaged on January 24th....bought our home in March....fixed the whole thing up...planned our wedding....married....honeymooned....and got our first pet! It was an amazing year. We feel so blessed to have such an amazing family and group of friends who surround us.
We are so excited to see what 2008 has in store....We are off to a good start! Chris started a new job yesterday. He is still with Enterprise just a different division of the company. He is now an "Account Executive" for the Rideshare department. We are excited to see how God is going to use him there and all that He has planned. He is a little overwhelmed and completely exhausted right now, so keep my sweet husband in your prayers. :)
My job has also changed a little, for the past two years I have been working at our church in Anaheim Hills as the High School Administrator. It has to be the best job in the world (for me anyway). It may not make me rich but the joy I get from doing my job and serving the Lord is priceless. I am now the "Youth Ministries Administrator" so what that means is I now have Jr. High along with High School under my scope. It has been a challenge the past couple weeks but I'm really excited to dig into it. I am in the office 2-3 days a week and do the rest from home. I can't complain....plus hanging out with the high schoolers every week is so awesome and such a passion of mine.
I'm excited to be part of the "blogging world" now! This is just a way for us to keep all of you updated on our life....it will be here if you are interested. That's it for our first blog...

Much Love,
The Andrews

Goodie Girl Cookie Pop Tarts

Summer is in full swing and Kate and I have a super fun, easy and delicious breakfast or even dessert idea for you to make!  First things first, go find some Goodie Girl Birthday Cake and Magical Animal cookies. They’re gluten free and to die for.  You can make this recipe gluten free by replacing the All Purpose Flour with Gluten Free Flour. Or if you want to skip the homemade dough all together you can use pie crust in the refrigerated section at the grocery store!
Here’s what I did..

The best iced coffee, ever.

When Chris and I went to Mexico this past winter we quickly become addicted to their  blended espressos. I found myself craving them when we got home so I played around with a couple of instant espressos and ended up making the best iced coffee, ever.

What you’ll need.  Medaglia D’oro instant espresso Water IceCoffee creamer of your choiceHeavy cream + caramel Trust me on the instant espresso. I tried them all. This is the best. I get it at Kroger. I’ve also heard Walmart carries it as well as trusty amazon.
Step one.  Get your ingredients out.

I fill my glass up halfway with water and pour a capful of instant espresso in.

Mix it real good.

Time to cool it down.

Now comes the sweet part.

This next step is money.  Lordy.

If you’re feeling really naughty you can add caramel sauce.  Do it.

If you’ve been wanting the recipe for the BEST homemade caramel ever then you’re in luck.  This is the recipe from my mother in law.  It is life changing.

Recipe for the best ribs ever.

You can imagine my excitement when I discovered Gordon Food Service. I used to pass by it weekly and wonder what the heck was in there. Do yourself a favor and look them up ASAP and see if there is one close to you. I am a fan for life!

As a busy mom who loves to cook and make delicious meals but also needs to stay on budget, I can do it all with Gordon’s Food Service!
If you have a big family or throw parties, this is the place to shop.
We just did an end of summer party and I bought everything here. The meat selection in fresh and frozen is wonderful.

And you see those peanut butter krispies?  To die for!  In the frozen section. Thank me later.

You know our deep love for ribs.  Chris does them like no other.  So I thought I’d finally share our recipe.
All of our items are from Gordon’s Food Service Store.  (Recipe will be posted below)

Ribs are prepped for the oven.

After 4+ hours in the oven the ribs go on the grill. Toss on a little extra seasoning and sauce for this part.
