1/4 of the way there!

10 weeks down, 30 to go! In a way 30 weeks sounds like eternity but when we look at how fast these first 10 weeks have gone it seems like Baby Andrews will be here before we know it. I am starting to feel better. (knock on wood!) I still have those terrible moments but I think I am through the hardest part. I had my first doctors appointment yesterday, ouch is the only word I can use to explain it. I told my nurse that my doctor is going to have to give me an epidural at month 8. I am no super woman and I am definitely not going to try to be "all natural". We turned down all the "diagnostic tests" that they offer in the first trimester. Its amazing how many decisions we are already having to make. We decided that there was no reason for us to have them test for down syndrome and the other diseases because no matter what the outcome is we are going to keep our baby. I am so thankful that my doctor is Pro-life and a devout Christian. I would never want to be under the care of someone who was ok with murdering babies. It is just not ok.

So onto the latest things that are going on with Baby Andrews...
  • Baby is now the size of a sugar packet! - 2 inches long!

  • I am happy to announce that our baby no longer has a tail!

  • We are now able to use our doppler and listen to the heartbeat at home! Its amazing! Tonight it was beating at 173bpm! It is the best sound ever!

  • Baby is now kicking and moving all around due to strong muscle development

The best iced coffee, ever.

When Chris and I went to Mexico this past winter we quickly become addicted to their  blended espressos. I found myself craving them when we got home so I played around with a couple of instant espressos and ended up making the best iced coffee, ever. 


What you’ll need.  Medaglia D’oro instant espresso Water IceCoffee creamer of your choiceHeavy cream + caramel Trust me on the instant espresso. I tried them all. This is the best. I get it at Kroger. I’ve also heard Walmart carries it as well as trusty amazon. 
Step one.  Get your ingredients out. 

I fill my glass up halfway with water and pour a capful of instant espresso in. 

Mix it real good. 

Time to cool it down. 

Now comes the sweet part. 



This next step is money.  Lordy. 

If you’re feeling really naughty you can add caramel sauce.  Do it.

Recipe for the best ribs ever.

You can imagine my excitement when I discovered Gordon Food Service. I used to pass by it weekly and wonder what the heck was in there. Do yourself a favor and look them up ASAP and see if there is one close to you. I am a fan for life!



As a busy mom who loves to cook and make delicious meals but also needs to stay on budget, I can do it all with Gordon’s Food Service!
If you have a big family or throw parties, this is the place to shop. 
We just did an end of summer party and I bought everything here. The meat selection in fresh and frozen is wonderful. 


And you see those peanut butter krispies?  To die for!  In the frozen section. Thank me later. 



You know our deep love for ribs.  Chris does them like no other.  So I thought I’d finally share our recipe.

Ribs are prepped for the oven.
