We had such a great weekend. Saturday was a little crazy but we got to pick up all the furniture for our daughters room! It was so exciting! We are no where near being ready to set it up yet but hopefully next month we can move it in! Can't wait! Mothers day was wonderful. Chris and I celebrated...he was so sweet and made me heart shaped pancakes in bed with my favorite coconut syrup from Hawaii. He washed my car and helped me run some errands. We spent the afternoon and evening at my parents house with the whole family. It was the most relaxing day we've had in a while. Played in the pool for hours and kicked our feet up, not to mention a fabulous dinner! We had dessert with Chris' family and spent the later part of the evening with them. I am so thankful for the family that the Lord has blessed us with. My parents spoiled me (or should I say Kate) and bought her a darling outfit and a couple of books and my auntie came over and brought over a whole bag of gooshie pink goodies for our baby girl. I'll post pics on Kate's blog. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! It means so much and your excitement and joy for us has made our cup overflow with gladness. Pray you all had a blessed day. Thank you Lord for my mom and Chris' mom. I pray that I will be half the mom that my mom is to me. Her love, joy, generosity and faith is what I hope to have for Kate.
When Chris and I went to Mexico this past winter we quickly become addicted to their blended espressos. I found myself craving them when we got home so I played around with a couple of instant espressos and ended up making the best iced coffee, ever. What you’ll need. Medaglia D’oro instant espresso Water Ice Coffee creamer of your choice Heavy cream + caramel Trust me on the instant espresso. I tried them all. This is the best. I get it at Kroger. I’ve also heard Walmart carries it as well as trusty amazon. Step one. Get your ingredients out. I fill my glass up halfway with water and pour a capful of instant espresso in. Mix it real good. Time to cool it down. Now comes the sweet part. This next step is money. Lordy. If you’re feeling really naughty you can add caramel sauce. Do it. If you’ve been wanting the recipe for the BEST homemade caramel ever then you’re in luck. This is the recipe from my mother in law. It is life changing. Ta-Da! Tag me on Instagram at
