My week = pure bliss...

This has been such a great and exciting week. Monday, the crown molding was installed (it's so big, I love it!). Tuesday, my dad came up and painted the crown and touched up the room. He and Chris also brought the changing table/dresser and hutch in the nursery along with the glider. Wednesday, Chris built the crib and my parents brought up the bedding. Her room is almost complete. There are still a handful of details that need to be done but we're getting there! I am thrilled with how it is coming along. I walk by her room and my heart melts. It's my new favorite room in the house. I sat in the glider all last night just staring at the room and dreaming of the day that she will be in there. I ate breakfast in there this morning. It's pathetic really but I am just so happy. It's all becoming so real now. I honestly can't even think about holding her because I get way too excited and antsy. My new favorite hobby is shopping for the peanut. She officially has the cutest wardrobe I have ever seen! She is so loved already. Her closet is my second favorite place in the house. So fun. Our house feels complete now as I walk by all the rooms. Kate has already blessed our life so much and we are counting down the days until we get to meet her!! I'll be posting pics on her blog soon so stay turned!

Nikki, I can't believe I'm going to admit this, but I totally did the same thing! I used to go sit in kaylie's room all the time & just sit and pray for her....I loved that time!!! Enjoy it, she will be here before you know it!

Goodie Girl Cookie Pop Tarts

Summer is in full swing and Kate and I have a super fun, easy and delicious breakfast or even dessert idea for you to make!  First things first, go find some Goodie Girl Birthday Cake and Magical Animal cookies. They’re gluten free and to die for.  You can make this recipe gluten free by replacing the All Purpose Flour with Gluten Free Flour. Or if you want to skip the homemade dough all together you can use pie crust in the refrigerated section at the grocery store!
Here’s what I did..

The best iced coffee, ever.

When Chris and I went to Mexico this past winter we quickly become addicted to their  blended espressos. I found myself craving them when we got home so I played around with a couple of instant espressos and ended up making the best iced coffee, ever.

What you’ll need.  Medaglia D’oro instant espresso Water IceCoffee creamer of your choiceHeavy cream + caramel Trust me on the instant espresso. I tried them all. This is the best. I get it at Kroger. I’ve also heard Walmart carries it as well as trusty amazon.
Step one.  Get your ingredients out.

I fill my glass up halfway with water and pour a capful of instant espresso in.

Mix it real good.

Time to cool it down.

Now comes the sweet part.

This next step is money.  Lordy.

If you’re feeling really naughty you can add caramel sauce.  Do it.

If you’ve been wanting the recipe for the BEST homemade caramel ever then you’re in luck.  This is the recipe from my mother in law.  It is life changing.

Recipe for the best ribs ever.

You can imagine my excitement when I discovered Gordon Food Service. I used to pass by it weekly and wonder what the heck was in there. Do yourself a favor and look them up ASAP and see if there is one close to you. I am a fan for life!

As a busy mom who loves to cook and make delicious meals but also needs to stay on budget, I can do it all with Gordon’s Food Service!
If you have a big family or throw parties, this is the place to shop.
We just did an end of summer party and I bought everything here. The meat selection in fresh and frozen is wonderful.

And you see those peanut butter krispies?  To die for!  In the frozen section. Thank me later.

You know our deep love for ribs.  Chris does them like no other.  So I thought I’d finally share our recipe.
All of our items are from Gordon’s Food Service Store.  (Recipe will be posted below)

Ribs are prepped for the oven.

After 4+ hours in the oven the ribs go on the grill. Toss on a little extra seasoning and sauce for this part.
