I have been doing really good with not having any crazy cravings. I really haven't had any....until this past week. During my first trimester all I could eat was waffles and bread and since then I've had normal eating habits. Monday night all I could think about was pizza. Stuffed crust pizza from Pizza Hut. I would have done anything to have some but I restrained. I held back until Wednesday night. When the delivery guy showed up at our door it was like my heart was full again. It definitely was what I needed. Last night my parents came up and left around 9:15pm. They went to Yogurtland after our house and I threw out the idea of going to Sonic to Chris for a late night snack and to my surprise he was all for it. We had never been to one in California before, only in Tennessee. Every time we go to Tennessee I make the family take me there for a cheeseburger and slushy. [side note: if you've never had a Sonic cheeseburger and fresh fruit slushy you are missing out big time.] So, at 9:30pm last night I find sonic online and get the address to the closest one which happens to be in Fullerton. It wasn't a bad drive at all. 9 miles and 10 minutes and we were there! We pulled into yes, the LAST spot and ordered. It was the happening place to be at 10pm. Ohhh my heart was so happy last night. We sat in the car and ate our delicious cheeseburgers and drank the refreshing slushy looking at each other and giggling the whole time. It was so unlike us to go out past 9, let alone to a fast food place. We're seriously like old people and love to stay home and eat. Needless to say, we will be making MANY more trips back to Sonic. I called my mom up while we were devouring our food and all I heard on the other end was "hahahahahaha, are you serious? Randy, guess what? They are actually at Sonic and eating cheeseburgers!" Hey, this pregnant woman is serious about her food and you need to eat you gotta do what you gotta do. Maybe Sonic is so good to us because I associate it with Tennessee and y'all know that's where my heart is. Chris thought I would for sure be the type to have the most outrageous and odd cravings and make him run out at midnight to fulfill my craving. I guess the story isn't over yet. We have a few weeks to go! :) Anyway....to make a long and stupid story short before I bore you even more, my cravings were satisfied this week. My heart is happy, Kate is growing and so is my butt..... We'll get to that topic another day.
Remember that one time my husband bought a tv wall mount and then I decided we needed a new tv stand? And then it made me realize our dark furniture would look way better if I lightened it up? And then it was time to get rid of the old dark throw pillows and dark rug? And then all of a sudden that fireplace looked so out of place. So we gutted it. All because we put the tv on the wall! Here’s a little walk down our DIY family room makeover. Before . I started with this old corner cabinet that i got for free years ago and painted chocolate brown. I dusted her off and went to town with chalk paint. Then I got rid of the old dark rug and started changing out our throw pillows. Then it was onto the fireplace. Before Chris took out part of the wood floor to extend the floor of the tiny fireplace. We also cleaned out the fireplace and sprayed it with cream paint that can withstand 1,200 degree temperatures. And then we sucked out the old volcano rock and put in this fire glass fr
