So with a new year just around the corner, resolutions are being made all around the world. To be honest, I've never made a new years resolution. What's the point? Why wait until the 1st of the year to start living a healthy lifestyle? There is one thing that I do at the beginning of the year every year and that is clean out my closet. I do this like 4 times a year but I really get ruthless in January. I guess because I've gone through the whole year and if there is something that I haven't worn all year then its out the door. This year is a whole new story. As y'all know I gave birth almost 3 months ago and well some parts of my wardrobe don't fit me like they did a year ago. Bummer. I have about $1,000 worth in jeans that no longer fit. Guess I should have held off on indulging until I was done having babes. (lesson learned) I can get the jeans on, they just wont button. (that's a problem) And I thought I had wide hips before Kate! Oh well, I'll give it a couple months and if they still don't fit then someone is going to hit the jackpot with my collection. Any takers? I'm sure my sister will be all over it. While I'm on the topic of Kate and cleaning out my closet...I went through her closet today and packed up a bunch of her 0-3 month clothes. SO sad! I can't believe how fast she is growing up!! ((Sigh)) I had to go to Target and buy a bunch of the plastic bins for her clothes. We are obviously saving them in case we have another girl one day. They are far too precious to let go. Chris and I were talking last night about how we would love to put the brakes on life right now. We are loving this stage that we're in. It's amazing. I know it's only going to get better from here but right now, our hearts are content. That is one heck of a good feeling. 2010 is going to be a great year. We have some fabulous plans and can't wait to see what the Lord has in store! I guess it's time we start working on our "bucket list". So back to resolutions....anyone have any? Let's hear em!
When Chris and I went to Mexico this past winter we quickly become addicted to their blended espressos. I found myself craving them when we got home so I played around with a couple of instant espressos and ended up making the best iced coffee, ever. What you’ll need. Medaglia D’oro instant espresso Water Ice Coffee creamer of your choice Heavy cream + caramel Trust me on the instant espresso. I tried them all. This is the best. I get it at Kroger. I’ve also heard Walmart carries it as well as trusty amazon. Step one. Get your ingredients out. I fill my glass up halfway with water and pour a capful of instant espresso in. Mix it real good. Time to cool it down. Now comes the sweet part. This next step is money. Lordy. If you’re feeling really naughty you can add caramel sauce. Do it. If you’ve been wanting the recipe for the BEST homemade caramel ever then you’re in luck. This is the recipe from my mother in law. It is life changing. Ta-Da! Tag me on Instagram at
