.24.

I had one awesome birthday week. It started on Tuesday with going to lunch with JP. One of my favorite people on this earth. She took Chris, Kate and I out. It was so fun to catch up and spend time with her. Wednesday I got my hair done and am feeling like a new woman! My parents took Chris and I out to dinner to one of my favorite restaurants around town, Wood Ranch. Mmmm! Thursday, my actual birthday was perfect. I got to sleep in and snuggle with the best birthday present EVER! My precious baby! She was all smiles and in a super snuggly mood. We packed up and went to lunch with my mom and dad to my new fav breakfast/lunch place, The Blue Frog. Seriously people, the most delish homemade food. We had a great time. Dad is now hooked. My mom took care of the babe and treated me to a pedicure and wonderful massage. It was soo relaxing. My husband picked me up and took me to Disneyland and went to the Blue Bayou for dinner. I know I talk about food all the time and my love for it but honestly this was the best dinner that we've had in a loooong time. So delish! Every bite. mmm mm mm! We had the sweetest waitress and excellent service. We were even able to sneak on a couple rides before heading home to pick up our princess. I could go on and on about my day but to put it simple: it was the best one yet. Kate definitely made it complete. I know that my life is blessed and it's times like these that I feel I don't deserve all of this love. It's overwhelming how full my heart is. I am happy and content. Not gonna lie, all of this partying with a 3 month old has worn me out. I am soo glad the weekend is here. Looking forward to sleeping in and snuggling as a family. Thank you to all who helped make my day so special. I appreciate it and thank you for your friendship.
Oh and my big birthday gift should be arriving in a few days....I can hardly wait!!!!

Goodie Girl Cookie Pop Tarts

Summer is in full swing and Kate and I have a super fun, easy and delicious breakfast or even dessert idea for you to make!  First things first, go find some Goodie Girl Birthday Cake and Magical Animal cookies. They’re gluten free and to die for.  You can make this recipe gluten free by replacing the All Purpose Flour with Gluten Free Flour. Or if you want to skip the homemade dough all together you can use pie crust in the refrigerated section at the grocery store!
Here’s what I did..

A flaky, buttery pastry with strawberry and brown sugar cinnamon fillings, and they’re frosted, of course! The best iced coffee, ever.

When Chris and I went to Mexico this past winter we quickly become addicted to their  blended espressos. I found myself craving them when we got home so I played around with a couple of instant espressos and ended up making the best iced coffee, ever.

What you’ll need.  Medaglia D’oro instant espresso Water IceCoffee creamer of your choiceHeavy cream + caramel Trust me on the instant espresso. I tried them all. This is the best. I get it at Kroger. I’ve also heard Walmart carries it as well as trusty amazon.
Step one.  Get your ingredients out.

I fill my glass up halfway with water and pour a capful of instant espresso in.

Mix it real good.

Time to cool it down.

Now comes the sweet part.

This next step is money.  Lordy.

If you’re feeling really naughty you can add caramel sauce.  Do it.

If you’ve been wanting the recipe for the BEST homemade caramel ever then you’re in luck.  This is the recipe from my mother in law.  It is life changing.

Recipe for the best ribs ever.

You can imagine my excitement when I discovered Gordon Food Service. I used to pass by it weekly and wonder what the heck was in there. Do yourself a favor and look them up ASAP and see if there is one close to you. I am a fan for life!

As a busy mom who loves to cook and make delicious meals but also needs to stay on budget, I can do it all with Gordon’s Food Service!
If you have a big family or throw parties, this is the place to shop.
We just did an end of summer party and I bought everything here. The meat selection in fresh and frozen is wonderful.

And you see those peanut butter krispies?  To die for!  In the frozen section. Thank me later.

You know our deep love for ribs.  Chris does them like no other.  So I thought I’d finally share our recipe.
All of our items are from Gordon’s Food Service Store.  (Recipe will be posted below)

Ribs are prepped for the oven.

After 4+ hours in the oven the ribs go on the grill. Toss on a little extra seasoning and sauce for this part.
