I don't know what has gotten into me but I have spent most of the day scrubbing this house from floor to ceiling. I think the last time I did this was the week before I had Kate. Those of you who know me know that I am a clean FREAK. I was on my hands and knees scrubbing floors and cleaning up those lovely dust bunnies that hide under beds and desks. Washing windows, scrubbing bathrooms, making the oven look brand new. Everything is CLEAN! I washed everything, hosed the front back back down. You get the point. I even had time to sit down and pick out the tile and such things for our guest bath that we are re-modeling next month. Man, it feels good. It feels like a spring day, I had the windows open with the fresh air blowing in with my jazz music on while Kate napped like a queen! She is amazing at naps. I am blessed. Well, I think shes even better at it right now because she has a cold. Poor baby! We had fun today and took a walk through the park that is right behind our backyard. So peaceful. I definitely feel like a housewife tonight as I sit here with a happy baby in my arms, a clean house and dinner made. I am so thankful for my husband giving me this luxury of staying home and so thankful for God's provision!
When Chris and I went to Mexico this past winter we quickly become addicted to their blended espressos. I found myself craving them when we got home so I played around with a couple of instant espressos and ended up making the best iced coffee, ever. What you’ll need. Medaglia D’oro instant espresso Water Ice Coffee creamer of your choice Heavy cream + caramel Trust me on the instant espresso. I tried them all. This is the best. I get it at Kroger. I’ve also heard Walmart carries it as well as trusty amazon. Step one. Get your ingredients out. I fill my glass up halfway with water and pour a capful of instant espresso in. Mix it real good. Time to cool it down. Now comes the sweet part. This next step is money. Lordy. If you’re feeling really naughty you can add caramel sauce. Do it. If you’ve been wanting the recipe for the BEST homemade caramel ever then you’re in luck. This is the recipe from my mother in law. It is life changing. Ta-Da! Tag me on Instagram at
