Don't call me.

I don't like to use the word hate, but I really hate telemarketers. They love to call when the baby is napping which usually wakes her up or right when we sit down to eat dinner. Never once have I ever used a company because they called my house. They're annoying and I don't want anything to do with them. {side note: they do have a tough job so I give them credit & am never rude to them}

My dreams came true in February when I registered our number on the
 DO NOT CALL LIST. All you have to do is click on the link and register your number. Give it 31 days to kick in and you're golden. Did you know that once you are registered and the 31 days have passed that it's illegal for companies to call and bug you? All you have to do if they call is tell them that you're on the do not call list and they will hang up before you can push the off button. If you report a company calling when you're on the DNC list then they get slapped with a not so nice fine.

I breathe a little easier and actually like when my phone rings now because I know it's someone that I actually know and want to talk to. You can also register your cell phone if you have a problem with getting calls on there.

Happy Registering, and you really can call me. Well, as long as you don't try to sell me something or tell me that I must need to re-model something in my house {even though it's brand new.} Smart people.


Thank you for reminding me to do this!!! I am also very tired of the phone calls at dinner time, nap time, or even way early in the morning, AND way late at night! UGH....just registered our numbers :-)

Homemade Pop Tarts

To be honest, I’m not a fan of the boxed pop tarts but homemade ones make me weak in the knees. Our local coffee shops here in Tennessee sell them and they’re my guilty pleasure.  I decided to take a quiet Tuesday morning and make some with my sweet boy.

The best iced coffee, ever.

When Chris and I went to Mexico this past winter we quickly become addicted to their  blended espressos. I found myself craving them when we got home so I played around with a couple of instant espressos and ended up making the best iced coffee, ever. 

What you’ll need.  Medaglia D’oro instant espresso Water IceCoffee creamer of your choiceHeavy cream + caramel Trust me on the instant espresso. I tried them all. This is the best. I get it at Kroger. I’ve also heard Walmart carries it as well as trusty amazon. 
Step one.  Get your ingredients out. 

I fill my glass up halfway with water and pour a capful of instant espresso in. 

Mix it real good. 

Time to cool it down. 

Now comes the sweet part. 

This next step is money.  Lordy. 

If you’re feeling really naughty you can add caramel sauce.  Do it.

A healthier me.

Remember my Trust your gut  post?I feel like a whole new girl since I wrote that a month ago.  So many things have been confirmed and I feel like my happy healthy self again. 
All because of two things; 1. The gallbladder cleanse that I posted about.  Literally saved my gallbladder and my sanity.  No more stomach pain! And I can drink wine and margaritas without pain again! 🙌🏼
2. I found out that I have a sensitivity to gluten. It's still a mystery to me as to how I developed this but all I know is that when I do have gluten my joints hurt, I get awful headaches and an upset stomach along with bloating. 
Back to my first post about this... I took a "before picture" thinking I was going to 5-10 pounds and then post my "after" picture. 😂😂😂
Truth is, there are still plenty of calories in gluten free food. The other truth is I'm 80-20 gluten free. I still enjoy a few non-gluten free treats here and there (and then pay for it later).
