Back where I belong...

Last Wednesday we flew out to Nashville, Tennessee for my oldest cousins wedding. We had been counting down the days because 1. Justin has found the love of his life and is getting married!!! and 2. because the wedding was in Tennessee and y'all KNOW how we love it there. The first thing we did when we arrived was drive straight to Cracker Barrel. I did a little shopping in the gift shop there and enjoyed a fab breakfast for lunch. We then headed to the family house and kicked back awhile before we headed to Cancun for dinner. It is hands down the best Mexican restaurant I've ever been to. That says a lot for living in So Cal. I devoured the cheese dipping sauce that they bring you for the chips. After dinner we headed over to the Loveless Barn for "Music City Roots". It's a live radio show and podcast that goes down in the barn with different artists every week. It was SO much fun. Total family style and Kate stole the show. She danced and danced and danced som

growing up

My baby sister has graduated high school and is about to embark on a new journey in life. It blows my mind to think that my little 5lb 5oz sister who I used to read stories to and rock to sleep is done with high school and is about to turn 18. I've always been like her other mom, I was so hands on with her when she was a baby and growing up and now we're turning more into friends which is so fun. I'm that "friend" of hers that tells her the straight up truth and she can't hate me for it because I am her sister first. We have so many years between us because I lost a sister and a brother in between and a couple others that we will get to meet in Heaven one day. I guess it sort of seemed like she would always be the baby but it hit me last week when she walked across the stage to accept her diploma at graduation that my baby sister is growing up and and is turning into a woman who is ready to take on the world.   ...A bunch of youngsters, Class of 2011...

A must read

I just read a book that was touching, inspiring, filled with promises and hope. You may have heard about it, "Heaven is for Real" by Todd Burpo. It's non-fiction and is about his 3 year old son, Colton who becomes deathly ill and during surgery he slips from consciousnesses and enters Heaven. While he was in Heaven for a short 3 minutes, he met Jesus face to face, met his grandpa he never knew about, the sister that his mom miscarried at 6 weeks and so many others. It is astounding. He also sees the end times and has amazing talks with the Lord. I could go on and on but I don't want to ruin for those who haven't experienced his amazing journey.  It is a MUST read! Even for those who don't believe in God. It gives you a glimpse into Heaven and will most likely answer questions you might have. Its a super fast read, one of those books that you just can't put down....and that's coming from a girl who is not a fan of reading! Order it today on Amazon or p

We're growing!!!

We are beyond thrilled to share that we are expecting baby Andrews #2 this coming January! Our precious Kate is going to be a BIG SISTER! All of this sort of seems surreal because it feels like I was just pregnant with her. It's been 20 months since I gave birth to our first and we are so excited about this new journey that our family is on in becoming a family of 4. Yes, this baby was planned. We have been praying for this child and the Lord has blessed us in His most perfect timing. No, we're not sure if this is our last. We'll see how things go. We started young for a reason! Chris and I have been absolutely amazed how everything has been working out. I was diagnosed with a thyroid disease at the beginning of the year started medication right away to try to get my levels back to normal. I was told that if I get pregnant with this disease there is a very high chance of my body not being able to hold it and would lose the baby. We immediately began to pray against the &qu

Our kick off to summer!

Summer has officially started in this house! Finally! Our vacations have begun! Memorial day evening, my mom, Kate and I packed up and headed out to Palm Desert. It was just us girls the first night until our dear friends Wendy, Rachel, Taylor and Ava joined us on Tuesday. We shared countless laughs, lounged in the warm sunshine and sipped smoothies by the pool. A perfect girl trip.  After our moms left on Thursday afternoon we got ready for our husbands to join us! Chris and Mark arrived that evening and their baby girls were beyond thrilled to see them.. We stayed at the Marriott Villas, the same resort we go to every year. It is so awesome for families. The girls loved running on the rolling green grass. They would count 1! 2! 3! Go! and run down the tiny hill...for hours!  Playing hide and seek around the tree was also a favorite. Ava thought it was so funny!  The sprinklers must come on at least 3 times a day. The girls were extremely entertained running through them and g
