We're growing!!!

We are beyond thrilled to share that we are expecting baby Andrews #2 this coming January! Our precious Kate is going to be a BIG SISTER! All of this sort of seems surreal because it feels like I was just pregnant with her. It's been 20 months since I gave birth to our first and we are so excited about this new journey that our family is on in becoming a family of 4. Yes, this baby was planned. We have been praying for this child and the Lord has blessed us in His most perfect timing. No, we're not sure if this is our last. We'll see how things go. We started young for a reason!
Chris and I have been absolutely amazed how everything has been working out. I was diagnosed with a thyroid disease at the beginning of the year started medication right away to try to get my levels back to normal. I was told that if I get pregnant with this disease there is a very high chance of my body not being able to hold it and would lose the baby. We immediately began to pray against the "statistics". I had blood test after blood test done and once it began to look "normal" again we gave it a try. The next thing we knew we we were pregnant! I went in for countless blood tests again and the they not only confirmed that I am pregnant but that my thyroid levels are also back to normal! Such confirmation that God has got His hand on us and this sweet new life that is growing inside me!

I had my first ultrasound last week and everything looks great, we even got to see the heart beat which is so amazing. This may be our second baby but we are just as excited as the first time! A little lot more tired but thrilled to say the least.

Due: End of January (my birthday)
Will we find out the sex?: YES!!! Are you kidding me? I'm counting the days!
Morning sickness?: More like NIGHT sickness! blah!
Cravings: All I want to eat is bread. Same as when I was pregnant with Kate. Our house is stocked with bagels and waffles. Don't bring meat near me. Gross!
Implants?: No, I'm just pregnant and that's one of the perks.

I'm also in the really akward stage right now where I don't look pregnant. Just looks like I've been hanging out at Krispy Cream and In N Out too much.

Excited to share this journey with y'all, stay tuned for lots of pictures to flood your computer screen!
after telling grandpa and grammy!

spilled the beans to Mimi and Papa over Memorial Weekend!

SO excited!

She'll make the greatest BIG sissy!

Also, there is just ONE in there! I made the ultrasound tech confirm for me and then I did a hallelujah! Praise the Lord! So far the twin thing on Chris' side of the family has been good to us, only singletons here!

I LOVED how you worded everything in this post!! Answered questions and couldn't have said it better myself!! So happy for you and your beautiful family.....and of course I would find out the sex also, can't wait to hear what baby Andrews #2 will be :-)

Homemade Pop Tarts

To be honest, I’m not a fan of the boxed pop tarts but homemade ones make me weak in the knees. Our local coffee shops here in Tennessee sell them and they’re my guilty pleasure.  I decided to take a quiet Tuesday morning and make some with my sweet boy.
Here’s what I did..

The best iced coffee, ever.

When Chris and I went to Mexico this past winter we quickly become addicted to their  blended espressos. I found myself craving them when we got home so I played around with a couple of instant espressos and ended up making the best iced coffee, ever.

What you’ll need.  Medaglia D’oro instant espresso Water IceCoffee creamer of your choiceHeavy cream + caramel Trust me on the instant espresso. I tried them all. This is the best. I get it at Kroger. I’ve also heard Walmart carries it as well as trusty amazon.
Step one.  Get your ingredients out.

I fill my glass up halfway with water and pour a capful of instant espresso in.

Mix it real good.

Time to cool it down.

Now comes the sweet part.

This next step is money.  Lordy.

If you’re feeling really naughty you can add caramel sauce.  Do it.

If you’ve been wanting the recipe for the BEST homemade caramel ever then you’re in luck.  This is the recipe from my mother in law.  It is life changing.

A healthier me.

Remember my Trust your gut  post?I feel like a whole new girl since I wrote that a month ago.  So many things have been confirmed and I feel like my happy healthy self again.
All because of two things; 1. The gallbladder cleanse that I posted about.  Literally saved my gallbladder and my sanity.  No more stomach pain! And I can drink wine and margaritas without pain again! 🙌🏼
2. I found out that I have a sensitivity to gluten. It's still a mystery to me as to how I developed this but all I know is that when I do have gluten my joints hurt, I get awful headaches and an upset stomach along with bloating.
Back to my first post about this... I took a "before picture" thinking I was going to 5-10 pounds and then post my "after" picture. 😂😂😂
Truth is, there are still plenty of calories in gluten free food. The other truth is I'm 80-20 gluten free. I still enjoy a few non-gluten free treats here and there (and then pay for it later).
I love food. I reward myself wit…
